A whole year at Wunderman gave me a lot of material to create for Land Rover. As Jr. Art Director I designed the landing pages, newsletters, interactive banners and more.
Originally built from scratch by OgilvyOne with lead designer Vito Salvator at the helm, Land Rover's global site was launched in 2014 and still carries the same design principles on their site today. You can experience the site itself at landroverusa.com and maybe if you're lucky you might find a few of my pages if they haven't been changed!
I had the opportunity to completely re-design the Land Rover emails across all platforms. The different types of emails included welcome emails, hand-raisers, seasonal newsletters, and special offers. These all had to be communicated clearly as well as portray a truly premium look & feel that reflected Land Rover as a brand.
I got to concept and plan with my Creative Director the new direction, structure, and interface of the new e-mails. Below are examples of the progression from July 2014 to December 2014.
The Configurator banners have an animated Land Rover driving into frame and sets up shop for you to customize it.
After you chose your favorite wheels and exterior colors, if you’re super serious about your masterpiece you have the option to book that same car for a test drive!
We developed banners that featured your geo-location and weather forecast. We even went a step further to have the weather animating and changing depending on your location. Check them out below.
